1. What does the 34CrNiMo6 designation mean?
- 34: Indicates an optimal carbon content (0.30–0.38%), ensuring high hardness after thermal treatment while maintaining sufficient ductility.
- CrNiMo: A powerful alloying complex. Chromium (1.3–1.7%) and molybdenum (0.15–0.30%) ensure strength and wear resistance. Nickel (1.3–1.7%) is the essential element guaranteeing resistance to impacts, fatigue, and vibrations.
